Each lampshade is handmade by skilled artisans using authentic Japanese washi paper, known for its smooth texture and light-diffusing quality. Supported by a hand-wired frame, it maintains its airy shape while giving off a cozy, even glow that feels like sunlight filtered through clouds.

We currently use three types of paper across our collection: rice paper, cotton paper, and Japanese washi paper.

Rice paper has a delicate, translucent quality that gives each piece an airy elegance—perfect for those seeking a budget-friendly option with a refined touch.
Cotton paper is sturdier than rice paper, making it ideal for more sculptural or complex lamp shapes that require added structure.
Japanese washi paper is known for its soft, serene diffusing effect. We source our washi from a heritage paper maker in Gifu Prefecture, Japan.
