A GU10 halogen bulb sits above the candle and gently melts the top layer of wax, releasing its full fragrance while the lamp adds a warm, ambient glow — no wick, no flame, no smoke. Our Curva and Vesper candle warmer lamps work the same way and differ only in design.

  • Our candle warmer lamps use a GU10 halogen bulb. The gentle heat from the halogen bulb is what melts the wax, so a standard LED bulb won't do the job. Every Hüga candle warmer lamp comes with 2 GU10 halogen bulbs included, so you're ready to go right out of the box — with a spare for later.

  • Burning a candle melts wax from the wick outward, which causes tunneling, soot and wasted wax. A candle warmer lamp melts the entire top surface evenly from above, so you get a stronger scent throw, zero tunneling, no soot and no open flame. Both the Curva and Vesper give your candles up to 3× more fragrance life.

  • Yes. Each Hüga candle warmer lamp has a dimmer switch with 3 brightness levels. Turn it up to melt the wax faster and fill the room with scent, or dim it down for a softer glow and a slower, gentler melt. The built-in timer lets you choose how long it runs, and auto shut-off turns the lamp off for you.

  • Yes! Because there's no wick burning down and no tunneling wasting wax, a candle warmer lamp can make your candles last up to 3× longer than burning them with a flame. You get more hours of fragrance from every candle you buy.
